Hi, welcome to my blog! I currently work as a graduate Data Scientist in competition consulting (views my own), but wanted a space to share my thoughts on machine learning research.

During my MSc in Statistical Science at Oxford, I was drawn to the question of how an agent can improve its imperfect model of the world to make more robust decisions. Lately, I’ve been approaching this through model-based reinforcement learning and representation learning, as well as recent advancements in video generation and robotics.

My aim in these posts is to take a closer look at papers in an evolving line of research, focusing on the intuition for why something works rather than just the equations describing how. I hope this will not only push me to think through the concepts more carefully, but also offer others a springboard for exploring related ideas.
